Philippines: Removal of Travel Pass Requirement for Specific Visa Holders
August 1, 2023
The Philippine government announced that the Travel Pass requirement for holders of Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) visa (also known as PV) has been lifted as of August 1, 2023. This requirement was originally implemented as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, these foreign nationals had to present a Travel Pass before each departure from the Philippines. Until further notice, those with Regional Operating Headquarters or EO226 visas are still required to secure a Travel Pass. Typically, obtaining this pass takes between five to seven business days.
