Portugal: Certain Consular Services Now Available Online to Portuguese Nationals

Certain consular services are now available online for Portuguese nationals, including: consular registration services; registration of births (in limited circumstances); registration of deaths; application and renewal of citizen cards (in limited circumstances); and booking of appointments at consular posts. The online availability of these services will streamline access for Portuguese nationals as they were previously required to appear in person at consulates to access these services. The online portal is part of a broader effort by Portuguese authorities to further digitalize consular and immigration services.
