Saudi Arabia: Fees Doubled for Re-Entry Permits and Residency Renewals

Effective January 23, 2023, the government of Saudi Arabia has doubled the fees for re-entry permits and the renewal of residency permits. Specifically, the fees for re-entry permits issued while the foreign national is in Saudi Arabia are SAR 200 for a two-month permit and an additional SAR 100 for each additional month (i.e., SAR 200 for a three-month permit). If the foreign national seeks to extend their re-entry permit while outside of Saudi Arabia, the fee for each additional month is SAR 200. Further, the fee for a multi-entry permit issued while the foreign national is in Saudi Arabia is SAR 500 for three months and SAR 200 for each additional month; if they are seeking to extend their re-entry permit while outside Saudi Arabia, the fee for the additional month is SAR 400.
