About Saudi Arabia

Whether your company is sending employees to Saudi Arabia or expanding your worldwide footprint—Fragomen is here to help. Our experienced immigration professionals partner with businesses of all sizes to develop immigration strategies that can help you achieve your goals.

  • Saudi Arabia’s immigration framework is highly structured, encompassing both a home-country consular process and an extensive nationalization strategy that directly influences workforce planning and talent mobility.
  • Business travelers typically apply for a Business Visit Visa at a Saudi consular post once they receive a government-approved letter of invitation from a sponsor in Saudi Arabia. Business Visit Visas are usually valid for three months (single entry), 12 months (multiple entry), or up to five or ten years (multiple entry) for citizens of countries that signed bilateral visa agreements with Saudi Arabia. The single-entry visa for three and six months allows a maximum stay of under 30 days; for visas with other validities, the maximum allowable stay is 90 days. The Business Visit Visa does not allow hands-on work activities.
  • Saudi Arabia also provides visa-on-arrival and eVisa options for eligible nationals, covering purposes such as tourism, cultural engagement, and religious travel.
  • The Temporary Work Visa is suitable when conducting work for a visa-sponsoring entity for up to 90 days per year. For long-term work, foreign nationals can apply for a Work Permit and Resident ID Card (Muqeem Card), valid for up to one year, with the possibility of extensions.

Fragomen can also consult on citizenship matters and, as permitted within the confines of local law, may be able to offer citizenship assistance.
