Senegal: Company Tax Clearance Certificate Required for Work and Residence Permit
July 9, 2025
The Senegalese immigration authority has introduced a new requirement whereby companies must now include a stamped copy of their Tax Clearance Certificate, valid at the time of submission, when filing a new Work and Residence Permit application on behalf of a foreign national. Previously, this document was not required. Although no official directive has confirmed an implementation date, in practice, the requirement has been applied to applications submitted since April, including those still pending approval. Employers and foreign nationals are advised to contact their immigration professional for case-by-case guidance.
