Singapore: Stricter No-Boarding Directive to be Implemented for Flights to Singapore

Starting January 30, 2026, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will issue notices to Singapore-bound flights from any country listing travelers identified as undesirable or who do not meet Singapore’s entry requirements (such as possessing a valid visa or a travel document with at least six months’ validity). The airlines will be barred from allowed such foreign nationals from boarding planes. Travelers who are denied boarding can seek entry approval by writing to the ICA through the ICA Feedback Channel before arranging a new flight to Singapore. 
 
Additionally, the ICA will receive traveler information from airlines and may flag some travelers for more stringent checks.  
 
Airline operators that do not comply with the rules can be fined up to SGD 10,000, while pilots and employees could be fined up to SGD 10,000, jailed for up to six months or both.
