Slovakia: Mandatory Online Submission for Some Processes

Update July 25, 2025: Effective September 1, 2025, employers must also submit Info Cards (a notification to authorities) and the start and end date of employment for foreign workers, on the online platform.

June 3, 2025: Starting September 1, 2025, employers hiring foreign workers in Slovakia will need to submit their labor office registration electronically via their company account on slovensko.sk. While this option already exists, many employers still file this document in hard copy. Although mandatory electronic filing should, in the long term, provide for faster filing as compared to the in-person alternative, in the short term, there may be initial delays and challenges as the digital system is scaled up to address increased demand. Employers and applicants should account for such potential delays in their onboarding schedules.
