Status Verification Exercise Requires Personal Appearance by Company Representative

Between March 14 and March 31, 2016, companies that employ foreign workers under Combined Expatriate Resident Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) status must present documentation to one of the CERPAC Production Centers, according to an announcement by the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Employers’ representatives must bring the following documents to one of the CERPAC Production Centers on behalf of each foreign worker:
- Foreign workers’ original CERPAC;
- Foreign workers’ original passport;
- Copy of company’s Expatriate Quota certificate; and
- Copy of company’s monthly tax returns for February 2016.
All documents will be returned to the representative upon verification.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Employers with foreign workers under Combined Expatriate Resident Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) status should coordinate the collection of the requested documents as soon as possible to comply with the deadline.
