The UK immigration system is moving towards a fully digital platform. For international students, Senior Manager Jonathan Hill shares with the AEGIS Standard that this transition means many physical documents will be replaced by digital versions, making it easier to share information with schools.
Jonathan also highlights recent changes to UK immigration policy affecting international students, such as the increased visa application fees for Child Students and the introduction of a 20% VAT on school fees, which will take effect in January 2025. Guardians considering the UK as an educational option should be aware of these rising costs, as well as compliance audits conducted by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to ensure that Student Sponsor License holders adhere to guidelines set by the Home Office.
