Over the years, many foreign workers
have made the decision to move to the United States, particularly Silicon Valley, to work for major technology companies. Over the last few months, many of these companies announced mass layoffs presenting further challenges for visa holders on top of an already difficult situation.
Partner Kristi Nevarez says laid-off tech workers on H-1B visas may have more options if they are flexible about the industry, size and geographical location of the companies they are applying to.
