Türkiye: Local-to-Foreign Worker Ratio Rules Relaxed

Companies can now calculate the 5:1 local-to-foreign worker ratio on a per-entity basis, as opposed to the previous per work site approach. Previously, each work site had to meet the ratio separately, requiring additional waiver applications for locations that did not comply, which could create administrative delays. Now, companies with multiple work sites can aggregate their total workforce across all locations to meet the 5:1 requirement. This change is expected to boost foreign investment and facilitate large-scale projects by reducing bureaucratic hurdles for employers.
