United Kingdom: Expanded RTW Scheme in Effect; Further Employer Guidance Published

As anticipated, the expanded Right to Work Scheme took effect on October 1, 2026. As part of this, the UK Home Office published a final employer guidance which does not make any substantive changes but includes a new Annex C – Questions and Answers, on changes to the Right to Work Scheme, addressing a number of practical questions including clarifications on issues such as personal service companies, existing contracts and subsequent variations or renewals, overseas working arrangements, contractual chains and assurance requirements.
