United Kingdom: First APAC Youth Mobility Scheme Ballot Period Closed

The first (of two) ‘ballot periods’ for application to the Youth Mobility Scheme for travelers age 18-30 from Hong Kong SAR, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan ROC which opened on January 17, 2023 has now closed. Those who were successful will have received an email by the end of January 20, 2023 and have 30 days to apply under the scheme. Those who were not chosen in the first ballot can make another application in a second ballot period, due to open in July 2023. British Overseas Citizens, British Overseas Territories Citizens or British Nationals (Overseas) do not need to enter a ballot to apply under the scheme. Successful applicants under the Scheme can live, work and study in the United Kingdom for a period of 24 months.
