Uruguay: Holiday and Work Visa for UK Nationals Forthcoming

Based on reciprocity, Uruguay will also implement the United Kingdom-Uruguay Youth Mobility Scheme on January 31, 2024. Under the agreement, UK nationals between the ages of 18 and 30 will be able to travel and work in Uruguay for up to two years (provided their main purpose of travel is not work). Applicants must have sufficient funds for their initial stay; medical insurance/service valid in Uruguay during the entire length of stay; and a clean criminal record. Applicants cannot include dependents on their application.
