- New process. Foreign nationals applying for tourist or business visas must now apply online. Upon approval, visas are issued electronically and delivered directly to the applicant’s email address, eliminating the need for a physical visa stamp in their passport. Foreign nationals should print their visas to present to border officials upon entry to Venezuela. Previously, foreign nationals had to attend an in-person interview at a Venezuelan consulate where the visa was stamped in their passport.
- Processing times. The estimated processing time for an electronic business or visitor visa is approximately 15 days. Previously, the processing time was approximately six weeks.
- Cost. The fee for tourist or business visas has not yet been confirmed but is expected to be USD 180. Previously, the fee was USD 60.
- Other visa details remain the same. As before, tourist and business visas are granted with a validity of one year and issued as multiple-entry visas. Eligibility details for the visas also remains the same.
