India’s current visa processing vendor in the United States will accept for processing applications that are received by mail on or before May 15. Walk-in applications will be accepted by the current vendor up until May 16. The current vendor will cease processing applications on May 20.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Individuals in the United States who intend to apply for a visa for travel to India should be prepared for delays in the coming months. There may also be temporary changes in filing procedures or requirements as responsibility for visa processing is handed over to the new vendor.
How Fragomen Can Assist
Fragomen will work with clients to develop strategies for any delays caused by the change in visa processing vendors.
We worked closely with Fragomen Immigration Services India (Pvt.) Limited ("Fragomen-India") to prepare this alert. It is for informational purposes only.
