Work Permit Exemption Expanded; Minimum Salary Increased for Local Hires

A six-month work permit exemption available to certain nationalities has been expanded to include Armenian national local hires. Local hires in Poland will now be subject to an increased minimum salary requirement of 1680 PLN (approximately USD 550), up from 1600 PLN (approximately USD 525).
The six-month work permit exemption is also available to nationals of Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine hired locally. Eligible foreign nationals can work for up to six months in a twelve-month period without a work permit but must enter Poland under a work visa.
