Young Generation Forum 2026 at the University of Houston

KOTRA holds an annual event called the Young Generation Forum (YGF), together with KSEA in Houston and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea.

• The event is designed as a career fair for young Koreans who are interested in pursuing careers in academia or industry. It typically includes employment-related lectures, one-on-one meetings with companies, and individual mentoring on resumes and related topics.
• Most of the companies participating in the one-on-one company meetings are Korean companies that have established operations in Houston or elsewhere in Texas.
• This year, we would also like to provide useful information to the participating companies. Before the one-on-one meetings between the companies and students, we are planning to gather the participating companies separately and provide an overview of the Texas employment environment, as well as methods and key considerations for hiring locally through nonimmigrant employment options such as J-1, E-2, and OPT, rather than permanent residence sponsorship.
