Fragomen Innovations
We have embraced technology and innovation from the very beginning—and we’re constantly developing new and enhancing existing technologies to optimize the immigration experience.
Fragomen Technologies, Inc.
-
- An independent business owned by the firm, Fragomen Technologies, Inc. (FTI) is a one-of-a-kind subsidiary in the immigration law marketplace. FTI researches, develops, and invests in the technology that comprises our platform.
- As an independent business, FTI enjoys greater operating flexibility and lower cost pressures than a purely in-house technical department. As a result, we can offer our clients a variety of highly adaptive and cost-effective solutions traditional law firms and others in the marketplace cannot.
Fragomen Immigration Technology Innovation Lab
Founded in 2017, Fragomen’s Immigration Technology Innovation Lab comprises approximately 120 engineers and technology professionals collaborating on immigration software development. Beyond handling traditional IT operations, the Lab pioneers sophisticated technology solutions that are revolutionizing the immigration experience for our clients.
Fragomen’s Lab is unique because it’s client-facing—we invite clients and technology partners to visit the Lab and collaborate on developing innovative technological solutions. Clients participate in interactive demonstrations of our latest technologies, engage in discussions with our IT leaders and provide candid feedback, which we incorporate into product development.
Partnering with clients and other providers ensures that our platform delivers maximum value to our clients and achieves our goal—simplifying the immigration experience of our clients and their employees.
Global Solutions
The backbone of our platform is Connect—Fragomen’s proprietary case management system. It is a masterpiece of practical technology that has grown and evolved alongside the complexities of global immigration.
Connect serves as a one-stop-shop where clients can view and manage their entire worldwide foreign national population and shepherd employees through every type of immigration process. It provides employees and managers with a detailed summary of required steps, information, forms, and contacts—while providing updates through notifications and personal communication.
A single underlying system that manages client immigration programs in every country where they require support, Connect was the first proprietary case management system designed specifically for the provision of immigration services and through its evolution, has continued to be the leading system in the immigration space.
FTI’s first acquisition was SimpleCitizen, a company focused on immigration automation and workflow. Its technology delivers significant user experience enhancements to Fragomen’s existing systems.
SimpleCitizen’s simplified, technology-based user experience is intuitive and easy to follow, enriching and streamlining the employee’s journey throughout the visa process.
In 2021, FTI acquired Nomadic. Formed by Fragomen veterans, Nomadic allows employers to actively manage short-term travel programs for any jurisdiction in the world—and know exactly where their employees are at any given time.
Its unique assessment system determines whether the employee’s trip requires a business visa, work permit or, in the European Union, a posted worker notification. This approach, which is based on the specific activities the employee is undertaking in the destination country, prevents employees from making costly mistakes by ‘self-certifying’ their immigration compliance.
Country-Specific Solutions
I-9 Service Center (United States)
The simple, two-page I-9 form poses surprising compliance risks; common paperwork violations and inconsistencies alone can seriously compromise I-9 legal compliance and expose companies to significant financial penalties and other sanctions.
Our I-9 Service Center platform combines the knowledge of the industry's leading I-9 authorities with a proprietary technology tool to deliver flexible solutions for effectively maintaining and monitoring I-9 programs and compliance.
visaOntrack (Australia)
Non-compliance with Australian subclass 457/482, 403, 407 and 408 visas can impact the ability to sponsor foreign nationals in the future, lead to extensive financial penalties, administrative sanctions, business interruption and reputational damage.
Fragomen’s visaOntrack tool assists Australia-based organizations with notification requirements and record keeping obligations. visaOntrack allows the business to make notifications through a secure, web-based portal. The application’s simplicity and ease-of-use reduces manual effort and mitigates the risk of missed notifications.
