Andrés is the Managing Partner of Godoy Córdoba Abogados, S.A.S. (Fragomen’s affiliate in Colombia). He focuses on the development and enhancement of Fragomen’s immigration offering across the Andean and Latin America region.

Prior to working with Fragomen, Andrés held various roles in the legal industry. He also worked as a consultant for tax, corporate and intellectual property law firms. He therefore brings a truly client-focused approach and a wealth of interdisciplinary experience to the firm and its clients.

Andrés speaks English and Spanish.

Experience

Provided assistance with a spin-off project for one of the largest IT companies in Colombia. As the project was time-sensitive, this involved liaising closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to achieve reduced visa requirements for this case.

When Colombian authorities introduced audit processes for all companies with foreign employees, he participated in the strategic planning and development of internal procedures in order to meet clients’ needs and comply with the authorities requests.

Liaised between the Colombian government and a large local company, to work on the procurement of special technical visas for employees that were going to participate on a project at a large Colombian Petroleum refinery.
