Annette is an Associate at Fragomen’s Chicago office, where she practices U.S. immigration law and counsels clients across a variety of industries. She has extensive experience spanning from strategizing and achieving positive outcomes in L-1, H-1B, E-3, O-1 and employment-based visa matters, particularly within the fintech industry. Her experience also extends to family and humanitarian-based immigration, including asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS). In addition, Annette is experienced in drafting successful Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notice of Intent to Deny responses (NOIDS) and Waivers of Inadmissibility.
During law school, Annette served as a Student Attorney in the Immigration Policy and Advocacy Clinic, where she researched and drafted policy guides for both immigration practitioners and individuals. She also served as a three-year board member of the Latin American Law Student Association, a Notes Editor for the Democracy & Voting Rights Forum and a member of the Trial Advocacy Team. During this time, she focused her experience on business- and family-based immigration, working as a law clerk at immigration boutique firms as well as a large law firm in New York City.
Prior to attending law school, Annette served as a Congressional Liaison, where she assisted local constituents with resolving immigration, customs and passport matters by working directly with the relevant federal agencies. She also served as an AmeriCorps member in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she supported post-Hurricane Maria reconstruction and recovery efforts.
