Elena is an Associate at Fragomen’s New York office, where she counsels multinational corporate clients in a variety of industries, including insurance, banking, financial services, technology, retail, real estate and logistics, on their immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based visa matters.
Before joining Fragomen, Elena served as a Fellow for the Safe Passage Project, where she provided legal services to unaccompanied minors seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and asylum.
During law school, Elena served as a Clinical Associate in the Immigration Law and Litigation Clinic, where she conducted screenings of unaccompanied minors at the Executive Office for Immigration Review and appeared on their behalf before immigration judges as a Friend of the Court. She also served as the Vice President of the Immigration Law Students Association. In addition, Elena interned with Justice Saliann Scarpulla at the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
Elena speaks English, Spanish, Romanian and Russian.
