Esteban is a Partner of Centroamerica Immigration Services S.A. (Fragomen’s affiliate in Guatemala). He focuses on the development and enhancement of Fragomen’s immigration offering in Guatemala and the wider Central American region.

Esteban has experience advising multinational companies on corporate M&A transactions and matters related to international law. He is admitted to practice law in the state of New York.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Esteban served as a negotiator of international trade agreements for the government of Costa Rica. In this role, he actively participated in the negotiation of free trade agreements, such as those with the United States (DR-CAFTA), the European Union and China. For the government of Costa Rica, he also served as a director in charge of the implementation of DR-CAFTA and as director for international trade and disputes. He was appointed to serve in the roster of arbitrators for the free trade agreements that Costa Rica has in place with Mexico and Colombia.
