Federico is the Global Partner responsible for the Latin America and the Caribbean region. In addition to immigration law, he is experienced in the legal aspects of international business, designing compensation and benefits plans, and employment and social security treatment for foreign workers.

Along with the firm's leadership, Federico directs Fragomen's regional expansion program, which includes Fragomen offices in Costa Rica (2007), Mexico and Brazil (2013) as well as Member Firm offices in Colombia and Chile (2015), Peru and Panama (2016) and Argentina and Venezuela (2017). He previously served as a member of the firm's Global Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Federico provided sophisticated immigration and employment law counsel to a wide range of corporations with presence in Costa Rica.

Federico speaks English and Spanish.

Experience

Federico’s entrepreneurship capacity, business-oriented and strong leadership skills were fundamental for the firm’s decision of launching its headquarters for Latin America and the Caribbean in Costa Rica.

Currently, this office is the largest immigration law firm in Costa Rica and one of the largest law firms in the country. Fragomen is the first international law firm to set up offices in Costa Rica, a country with one of the highest levels of Foreign Direct Investment in Latin America.

Federico’s role as practice leader has been crucial for the firm’s business expansion in the region.
