Irma is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s Boston office. She supports corporate clients and individuals in a wide range of employment- and family-based immigration matters, including immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, waivers, adjustment of status processes, and naturalization. Additionally, Irma partners with clients to determine and implement immigration strategies related to corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Irma worked at a boutique immigration firm, where she gained extensive experience with family-based immigration, removal defense and crimmigration matters.

During law school, Irma completed a concentration in immigration law.

Since 2009, Irma has volunteered with pro bono organizations, including the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation (PAIR) Project, Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and Catholic Charities.

Irma speaks Cape Verdean Kriolu, English and Portuguese.
