Katherine (Kate) is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s Pittsburgh office with more than 15 years of immigration experience. She focuses on employment-based immigration, represents corporate clients and provides counsel on employment-based temporary and permanent visa categories to small- and medium-sized for-profit organizations and large multinational companies. She also has a robust family-based permanent residence practice representing individual clients.

Kate has experience representing high level talent, including top executives, renowned scientists, physicians, opera singers and more. Her industry experience and knowledge extend to multiple sectors, including healthcare, life sciences, retail and commercial goods, restaurants, hospitality, food production, AI, robotics, and engineering and construction. She also has extensive experience with counselling clients on worksite compliance and I-9 issues.

Kate advises employers on a wide variety of immigration issues, including both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa options. Her experience with immigrant visas includes labor certification (PERM), and EB-1 visas, as well as EB-2 National Interest Waivers. Her nonimmigrant visa practice focuses on L-1, H-1B, TN, and O-1 visas for scientists, athletes, musicians and engineers. Kate further provides advice and counsel to her clients regarding short- and long-term immigration and workforce compliance policies and strategies. She practices before USCIS, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of State, U.S. consulates, U.S. Administrative Appeals Office and related government agencies.

Kate has provided pro bono services through Chebeague Island Recreation Center and Project Citizenship, a nonprofit agency that provides free, high-quality legal and citizenship services to immigrants throughout Massachusetts and New England who cannot afford legal representation.
