In November 2012, Juan Carlos co-founded and was appointed a Partner in Fragomen’s Mexico office. Juan Carlos is experienced in providing strategic immigration planning to multinational companies doing business in Mexico, and will continue to work closely with clients to help them achieve and maintain compliance with immigration laws and regulations.
 
He is strongly committed to providing tailor-made counseling and a high level of service to clients.

Prior to joining Fragomen, Juan Carlos was a co-founder of a Mexican law firm that focused on representing multinational companies in the field of immigration law, and worked with Fragomen as one of the partners in our Local Advisor Network.

Juan Carlos speaks English and Spanish.

Experience

Co-founded a Mexican law firm that provided tailor-made assistance to multinational companies in the field of Mexican immigration and corporate law.

Served as former Legal Manager of the International Legal Services department at a Big Four accounting firm, responsible for the firm’s immigration practice.

Developed immigration strategies and solutions for Mexican merger and acquisitions transactions of Fortune 500 companies. Advised high level officials at the National Institute of Migration (“INM”) in Mexico regarding recent changes to immigration law and regulations (IDEM).
