Kate is an Associate at Fragomen’s Washington, DC office, where she practices corporate immigration law. Kate assists multinational companies in the information technology industry with employment-based immigration matters, including immigrant and nonimmigrant visas and PERM labor certifications. 
 
Prior to joining Fragomen, Kate practiced immigration law at a boutique New York law firm, where she assisted foreign nationals with applying for H-1B visas and obtaining employment and family-based permanent residency. She also advised U.S. permanent residents on applying for citizenship. 
 
Kate has also served as in-house counsel for an information technology consulting firm. In this capacity, she assisted foreign employees with employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, as well as worked closely with human resources and managers to develop immigration strategies and policies and ensure compliance with immigration law. Kate also advised on general legal matters related to daily business operations, including various business contracts and agreements.
 
Kate has presented at several immigration law seminars for foreign students at colleges in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
 
Kate speaks English and Korean.
