Leonardo is a Chilean attorney and Partner with Servicios Migratorios Chile, Limitada (Fragomen’s affiliate in Chile), Immigration Specialists S.R.L. (Fragomen’s affiliate in Argentina) and recently, Immigration Specialists S.A.S. (Fragomen’s affiliate in Uruguay). He has more than 22 years of immigration and corporate law experience. His practice focuses on counseling corporations seeking to transfer executives into Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. This involves designing comprehensive and legally compliant immigration strategies that adapt not only to the corporation’s needs, but also to the constant changes in the migratory context all while providing high quality customer service. He also ensures that affiliate offices adhere to Fragomen protocols and standards. Leonardo regularly publishes on immigration issues and is a frequent keynote speaker at Chilean universities.

Experience

Provided legal assistance to the Curacavi municipality in Chile, including advice on immigration policy. He also acted as their prosecutor for administrative inquiries.

Actively participated in the program “Jóvenes al Servicio de Chile” (Young People In Service To Chile), which provided an assessment to Chilean congressional representatives and senators in law projects and rulings. Specifically, he participated in the development of laws regarding transparency and compliance in public acquisitions.
