Mara is an Associate at Fragomen’s Los Angeles office, where she focuses on O-1, EB-1, NIW, PERM I-140 petitions and adjustment of status applications. She helps clients maintain their legal work status in the U.S. by actively tracking visa expiration dates and collaborating closely with clients to develop strategic plans to either extend their current visa or transition to a new visa category.
During law school, Mara worked for the Department of Homeland Security as both a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Primary and Secondary Officer. After her time with the CBP and upon admission to the bar, she joined smaller boutique law firms in Miami, where she pioneered their business immigration departments and worked on over 750 active cases.
Mara speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
