Mhaina-Megish (Meg) is a Senior Associate at Fragomen’s Silicon Valley office where she focuses on U.S. nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. She has experience providing legal strategy for obtaining temporary work visas (E-3, J-1, H-1B, L-1, O, TN, etc.) and permanent residence (PERM, National Interest Waiver, Multinational Manager, Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher, etc.). Prior to joining Fragomen, Meg managed both global and U.S. immigration practices involving complex matters such as inbound and outbound transfers, international travel, business visa and work permit applications in the APAC, EMEA and Americas regions. She has handled complex Requests for Evidence and atypical immigration issues such as reversals of wrongful denial and revocation of permanent residence. Meg values transparency, communication and building a relationship of trust with clients ranging from small startups to multinational corporations.

During law school, Meg served as a summer associate at a global law firm in Manila, Philippines where she grew up. She also held internship positions in the private and public sectors where she gained exposure in international business transactions and litigation. She also served as the Lead Articles Editor for the Brigham Young University (BYU) International Law and Management Review and Service Chair of the BYU Immigration Law Forum.

Meg provides pro bono assistance on family reunification matters. She is also actively involved in local community programs that benefit children and youth by teaching them leadership skills.
