Miguel is the Business Immigration Director at Fragomen’s Mexico City office, where he is responsible for the supervision and service delivery of the Firm’s operation in Mexico. With a deep focus in management, he assists clients by providing high-level and experienced advice and counsel on complex immigration matters. Miguel is also knowledgeable on complex M&A immigration queries, government strategies and emergency immigration planning, such as during travel bans and particularly during the pandemic.

Miguel supervises the Mexico pro bono practice and has implemented a local agreement in Mexico City with a NGO for attorneys to volunteer in an immigration clinic, where they assist migrants, asylum seekers and refugees who require representation before the immigration authorities.

Miguel joined Fragomen Mexico in 2011 and previously served as Mexico Account Manager, as well as Senior Latin America Immigration Coordinator in the firm’s Costa Rica location.

Miguel authors articles on immigration, nearshoring and trade in North America, contributing to mobility magazines and legal industry publications. He has been featured in interviews on legal shows in Mexico and has been invited as a recurrent speaker at mobility associations in North America and chambers of commerce.

Overseeing service delivery for Fragomen's operations in Mexico, spanning various industries and cities, highlighting his expertise in managing a broad spectrum of immigration needs.
