Nghi is an Associate at Fragomen’s San Francisco office with more than six years of immigration experience and focuses her practice on nonimmigrant visas, particularly National Interest Exemptions. She has experience representing clients of various sizes, from start-up enterprises to Fortune 500 corporations.

Prior to joining the San Francisco office, Nghi served as a paralegal at the firm’s Santa Clara office for more than three years. Nghi continued to work at Fragomen while she attended Santa Clara University School of Law’s part-time program in the evening. During this time, she was responsible for overseeing a multinational technology client’s L-1 visa program, assisting with consular processes and drafting EB-1, O-1 and L-1 petitions, as well as responses to Requests for Evidence.

Nghi’s pro bono experience includes serving as the Law Student Clinic Coordinator with the Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center, where she helped prepare petitions for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) petitioners, victims of human trafficking (T visas), victims of crimes (U visas) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitioners. She also participated in the Immigration Appellate Practice Clinic before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, where she assisted an asylum applicant with their pending immigration case and participated in the oral argument before a three-judge panel. Since 2014, Nghi has been volunteering for various citizenship events hosted by nonprofit organizations. She assists individual applicants with preparing their citizenship and fee waiver applications and provides Vietnamese translation assistance for immigration cases.

Nghi speaks English and Vietnamese.
