Pamela is an Associate at Fragomen’s Boston office, where she primarily advises clients on I-140 petitions, adjustment of status, portability requests and re-entry permits.
Pamela has experience with employment- and family-based residence petitions, employment-based nonimmigrant petitions (e.g., H-1B and TN visas), naturalization applications and humanitarian petitions (e.g., U nonimmigrant status and Temporary Protected Status). She has represented clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review on a variety of matters, including adjustment of status, cancellation of removal and denial of removability. Pamela has also handled immigration-related matters in state district courts, including Rule 30 motions and Complaints in Equity, and filed Writs of Mandamus in U.S. District Court.
Pamela has provided pro bono assistance on a wide spectrum of matters, including naturalization, U nonimmigrant petitions and family-based residency applications.
Pamela speaks English and Spanish.

Experience
Advised a biotechnology start-up on obtaining permanent residence for a scientist and a TN visa for its new U.S. leader, as well as TN extensions and initial TN port-of-entry admissions for other critical employees.
Obtained approval of a Rule 30 motion in state criminal court on behalf of a detained individual, which led to the dismissal of criminal charges, the individual’s release from detention and a potential pathway to resident status.
Assisted an individual from Mexico on a J visa with obtaining a TN visa by identifying an appropriate NAFTA professional category and working with her to secure the required documents from her prospective employer after attempts by other firms were unsuccessful.
Assisted a survivor of human trafficking with obtaining T status and a pathway to permanent residence, following extensive engagement with the Boston Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
