Raj leads a large team of international legal advisors providing cross-jurisdictional immigration advice across the EMEA region. With deep knowledge in global immigration programs, Raj works with a diverse portfolio of clients, including leading financial and professional services firms, tech companies, media and entertainment organizations, engineering firms, SMEs and private clients. His hands-on commercial and strategic approach ensures seamless service delivery and innovative solutions tailored to his clients’ needs; legal advice and strategy that is guided by his extensive experience in crisis management and government affairs/liaison.

Having spent significant time on-site with clients, Raj brings unique insight into the operational demands they face, helping them expand into new markets and navigate complex global mobility challenges.

Raj also assists start-ups across industries and high net worth individuals from around the world in identifying and executing strategic immigration options.

Having spent large parts of his life growing-up in Southern Africa and Europe, his personal experience with the immigration process gives him a profound understanding of the emotional and practical elements faced by individuals and their families, adding a human touch to his corporate advisory work.

In addition to his client-facing responsibilities, Raj is an integral member of Fragomen’s Data Governance and Technology Committees. He collaborates with teams to develop and refine the firm’s cutting-edge tech, ensuring the delivery of market-leading solutions that enhance efficiency and improve client outcomes.

Raj also plays a pivotal role on Fragomen’s global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, where he leads regional efforts to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees, ensuring diverse voices are heard and valued. Raj is also passionate about giving back. He works on pro bono immigration initiatives with domestic violence charities, helping vulnerable individuals navigate complex immigration and personal challenges.

With a career spanning more than a decade, Raj’s dedication to his clients and his commitment to innovation and inclusion have established him as a trusted advisor and leader in the global mobility space. He finds inspiration in London’s fast-paced environment and values the personal connections he builds with clients, appreciating the critical role immigration plays in enabling businesses and individuals to succeed.
