Ramesh prides himself on being the first person his clients call to fix immigration challenges—the first person to identify the nature of a problem, to provide candid and unvarnished advice and to execute effective, forward-looking solutions. His decisiveness is tempered by a deep identification with the struggles of his clients’ employees as they make their way through the immigration process. It’s a journey he understands through hard-won, first-hand experience.

His route to a leadership position at Fragomen was wide-ranging, spanning vast swaths of geography, multiple operational and service roles, and the deep technological change that transformed immigration during the last two decades.

Ramesh began his career as a young filing clerk in Fragomen’s Singapore office, processing paper-based immigration documents in person with the local government. He was soon asked to help during the establishment of operations at the firm’s newly-established Hong Kong office, and, after additional time in Singapore, he transferred to Fragomen’s Matawan office, where his expanding portfolio embraced client services for a number of significant firm clients across a wide range of industries.

After a decade serving a growing clientele stateside, he relocated his family to Kuala Lumpur and assumed the role of Director of Operations in the firm’s recently opened Malaysia office. There, he managed every aspect of the firm’s operations in an international hub with close to 200 clients, from high-level government relations, to human resources, to fashioning an efficient and technologically advanced office infrastructure. He was named Partner while serving in Malaysia in 2016.

Upon relocating once again to the United States, he continued remote management of the Kuala Lumpur office for some time, while assuming the role of worldwide service partner for one of the firm’s largest clients. Today, Ramesh puts this vast and eclectic experience to work for a client with an extensive global presence, multiple industry touchpoints, complex operational challenges and a diverse, highly mobile workforce.

As his globe-hopping career demonstrates, Ramesh understands first-hand the nuances and challenges of the immigrant’s journey. He strives to place empathy and understanding at the center of the client experience, to ease the vocational and cultural stresses faced by the individual immigrant.

In addition to his dedication to his profession, Ramesh is a strong supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and contributes to various dog rescue organizations.

Ramesh is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, English, Malay, Malayalam and Tamil.
