Tim’s two-decade career in immigration law is enriched by his experience working for clients across a wide range of industries. While he supports clients primarily in the pharmaceutical, chemical, medical engineering, academic and high-end manufacturing industries, he has represented clients from nearly every sector, from individual professional athletes to multinational conglomerates. This variety of experience has honed his understanding of the immigration journey and the common challenges it poses to every client.

It’s a foundation that enables him to provide solutions that navigate the immigration process effectively and efficiently, while still addressing his clients’ signature preferences and culture. He’s built every flavor of program, from bare-bones, by-the-book approaches that minimize cost, to white-glove, bespoke programs that provide extra levels of attention and support.

When necessary, Tim designs additional program elements that address a client’s unique challenges; for example, he has created information clearing houses that gather data on large immigrant workforces and, by analyzing employee information from the individual worker to the corporate division, help clients understand and reduce costs. He has helped third-party service providers adopt this program, providing additional value to his clients.

Within Fragomen, he’s spearheaded performance innovations, including the development of the firm’s writing center. This project centralized and streamlined the narrative aspects of legal drafting, freeing up personnel to focus on strategic planning and employee experience.

These innovations have led to faster service, smaller team sizes and reduced costs for clients. More importantly, they have created transparent, comprehensible immigration programs that establish stability, predictability and clear-cut expectations.

Clients also value Tim’s advice on the immigration aspects of corporate deal-making, including restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He provides a calm, authoritative presence amid the most stressful and uncertain transactions, helping management and employees alike anticipate and prepare for potential disruption.

Tim maintains an active pro bono practice, concentrating on asylum, U visa and withholding cases. Most recently, he has partnered with the American Friends Service Committee, a non-profit organization that helps people of all faiths and backgrounds challenge unjust systems and promote lasting peace. Tim coordinates Fragomen associate teams that help AFSC onsite with immigration-related projects.
