Timo leverages nearly 15 years of experience to deliver strategic and innovative immigration solutions for Fragomen clients in Switzerland. Focusing on the intersection of technology, data and global mobility, Timo uses AI and data-driven tools to enhance efficiency, ensure compliance and enable client success. He plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing internal tools, such as WorkRight and assessment platforms, and bringing them to market to support workforce planning, risk management and compliance.

Timo has extensive experience advising clients across a variety of industries, including information technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods. He established Fragomen’s pharmaceutical industry sector group, further demonstrating his ability to tailor solutions to industry-specific challenges. In addition to corporate clients, Timo also works closely with high-net-worth individuals and private clients on Swiss immigration matters.

Known for his client-centric approach, Timo is dedicated to delivering tailored options and solutions, never a simple “one-size-fits-all” approach. He prides himself on staying closely connected to his clients’ businesses, offering practical guidance on areas such as workforce planning, entity setup and the intersection of tax and immigration. His work ensures that clients’ staff can be where they need to be—on time and within budget—while maintaining full compliance with Swiss regulations.

Timo’s reputation in Switzerland’s tightly connected immigration and global mobility community is built on his responsiveness, deep understanding of business needs and ability to drive results. Although he studied law, Timo brings a uniquely business-oriented perspective to his practice, helping clients navigate complex challenges with efficiency and clarity.

Timo speaks English and German.

More from Timo

Professional accomplishments

Member, Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce

Experience

Advised major pharmaceutical clients on the immigration requirements arising out of merger and acquisition transactions and corporate restructuring activities.

Partnered with a Swiss multinational to develop a compliant remote working policy for their business. This involved advising on the contractual implications of staff working from home on a permanent basis and providing guidance for resources seeking to work outside of Switzerland for the Swiss entity.

Critically reviewed and redesigned a client’s workforce planning strategy, advising on changes to work permit types, finding efficiencies and reducing costs, all while delivering on the client’s business targets.

Supported a technology company with their expansion into Switzerland, liaising with the Economic Development Authority on the legal requirements and quota allocation, and supporting the movement of key talent into Switzerland within tight timeframes.
