Immigration Update: Coronavirus

COVID-19 has caused entry and exit bans, quarantines and travel restrictions throughout the world.

As COVID-19 enters the endemic phase, many jurisdictions have eliminated health and travel restrictions. Where such measures applied, we tracked changes across the following topics in over 150 jurisdictions:

  1. Government office operational status
  2. Travel restrictions
  3. COVID-19 testing and quarantine policies
  4. COVID-19-related concessions
  5. Digital health platforms

Access information that was current as of July 25, 2023 here. This may not be the latest information and you should consult your immigration provider for up-to-date details. You can also visit your destination country’s consular website and/or your destination country’s national health department website, where available. Key sites for some destinations include:

  • European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control
  • Singapore’s Ministry of Health
  • United States Centers for Disease Control

Important note: The COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly changing event, and this summary is for reference only. It does not attempt to cover a number of other developments that are relevant to travelers, such as airline route cancellations, the closing of consular posts, and national travel advisories.  Individuals considering travel should consult their country’s consular posts and seek case-specific advice from their travel and /or immigration providers. Likewise, employers considering changes to work arrangements or staffing changes should consult with their labor counsel and/or immigration provider for specific guidance.
