Fragomen will be participating in the 2025 Annual Lavendar Law Conference & Career Fair in New York City from July 27 - 30.
Partner JJ Shepherd will present during the Corporate Counsel Institute Session on Tuesday, July 29 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The roundtable discussion titled, "How are In-House Counsel Assisting their Employers in Adjusting to the Current Administration's Actions in Ways that Best Protect their Companies and Values," will cover updates from law firm experts in the fields of employment/HR, governance, immigration, and contracts/grants on how they are advising their corporate clients under the current administration. These updates will be followed by time for open discussion with the experts and our in-house attendees.
Fragomen Senior Associate Kyle Sommer will moderate the panel, "Immigration for LGBTQ+ Youth & International Students in the Trump Administration," on Tuesday, July 29 from 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm. The Trump Administration 2.0 has brought sweeping changes to the immigration landscape, resulting in significant impact to LGBTQ+ immigrant youth and international students. This workshop will discuss changes to humanitarian, employment-based, and family-based immigration classifications related to immigration youth and international students, including asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), F-1 students, and post-graduation immigration options. It will also cover changes and challenges related to immigration-related identity documents and international travel.
