Senior Associate Kyle Sommer will be speaking on the panel, "International Students and Career Development: Creative Solutions to Challenging Regulations," during the 2026 NCDA Annual Conference.
Nearly one million international students study in the United States, and many seek opportunities to gain practical work experience that complements their academic goals. U.S. immigration regulations can create challenges when advising international students about employment options and career development opportunities.
This session will provide an overview of the current regulatory landscape affecting international students and their access to work experience. Presenters will also discuss creative and practical approaches for supporting international students' career development while navigating complex immigration requirements.
Kyle will join fellow panelists in discussing strategies for helping institutions support international students while remaining compliant with immigration regulations.
