Partner Louise Haycock discusses in an article published in Arts Professional, the Migration Advisory Committee’s (MAC) provisional recommendation that the UK creative sector could soon ease access to overseas talent, though the process is only at stage one. She highlights that further consultation follows, including calls for evidence, and urges the sector to unite, show where talent gaps exist and demonstrate why access to overseas talent is critical. Louise notes that although the government aims to reduce immigration, there is recognition that diversity of talent is essential for the UK’s creative industries.
