In a recent interview, Former President Trump proposed offering green cards to international students who graduate from US colleges.
In response, Partner Daniel Pierce shared with the Boston Business Journal the legal challenges involved with this proposed policy, noting that changing the green card allocation process would require Congressional action and could not be achieved unilaterally by a singular administration. Daniel also shared how this plan might not be feasible given the potential opposition from Republicans, who generally resist increasing the number of green cards issued.
