Construction Management: Changes to Skilled Visa Rules Announced

The UK government has announced major immigration reforms in a new white paper, raising the skilled worker threshold back to graduate level, increasing salary requirements and removing the immigration salary list.

In an article published by Construction Management, Partner Louise Haycock says the changes must be proportionate and practical to succeed. She emphasises the need for timely access to skills in critical sectors and that aligning immigration with employment policy must be done in collaboration with business.
