The UK government’s recent immigration white paper outlines reforms that could significantly disrupt the construction sector, write Manager Kirsty Moore and Trainee Solicitor Christina Azntaridou in an article published in Construction Management.
The proposed shift to a contribution-based system raises skill and salary thresholds, introduces stricter visa and settlement rules and replaces the immigration salary list with a temporary shortage list.
