TORONTO – 6 January 2026 – Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, announces Cosmina Morariu as Managing Partner of its Canadian practice. Morariu succeeds David Crawford, who will transition to Senior Counsel after more than two decades with the firm.

Morariu joined Fragomen in 2009 as a Paralegal and became a Partner in 2022. Over her time with the firm, she has built a reputation for navigating complex Canadian immigration matters with clarity, empathy, and strategic insight.

“Looking back on nearly two decades at Fragomen, I’m proud of the work we’ve done to support clients and communities,” Morariu said. “As Managing Partner of the Canadian practice, I want to build on that legacy while finding new ways to expand our services and make immigration simpler, more strategic and more human for those we serve.”

“Cosmina’s appointment reflects both the strength of our practice in Canada and her long-standing impact on the firm,” said Enrique Gonzalez, Fragomen Co-Chair. “She understands the realities our clients face and brings a practical, forward-looking approach to complex challenges. She is well-positioned to guide our work in Canada as the immigration landscape continues to evolve.”

Beyond her leadership and strategic guidance, Morariu has maintained a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service while also supporting pro bono initiatives for children, women and displaced individuals. In 2025, she received the Ecosystem Builder Award from Canada’s Semiconductor Council and the “Par Excellence” Award from the France Canada Chamber of Commerce, reflecting both her dedication to clients and her contributions to Canada’s innovation ecosystem.
