The deadline for Person of Indian Origin card holders to apply for the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) in lieu of Person of Indian Origin (PIO) card has been extended from June 30, 2016 to December 31, 2016.
What This Means for Foreign Nationals
PIO card holders should apply for the OCI in lieu of PIO by December 31, 2016 as it is anticipated that PIO cards may become invalid for travel after this deadline.
