Dominican Republic - Legalization and Visa Issuance Suspended until October 27

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has suspended visa issuance at Dominican consulates abroad and in-country document legalizations until October 27, 2016, due to a meeting of Latin American and EU Ministries of Foreign Affairs hosted by the Ministry. Visa applicants may still submit visa applications; however, visas will not be issued. Documents cannot be submitted for legalization.
What This Means for Employers and Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals should not schedule consular appointments or request local document legalizations until the Ministry re-opens on October 27, and should be prepared for minor delays following reopening.
