Most business trips to the USA are carried out under the Visa Waiver Program without a visa, but with an electronic travel authorization (ESTA). This applies, for example, to customer visits and contract negotiations, trade fairs or even to installations that are related to deliveries. Nevertheless, it is important to check for each individual business trip whether the requirements for ESTA are met or whether a visa must be applied for.
For longer-term postings, a visa is required in any case. Here, too, the requirements for the visa categories in question must be examined.
The event will provide an overview of the topic. Typical case studies from practice will be presented and discussed by Fragomen Senior Associate Oliver Ashworth and Fragomen Director David Iannella.
The event will be held in English at the Frankfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce and is aimed at Hessian companies that would like to send employees to the USA.
