BANGKOK, December 15, 2022 – Fragomen, the world’s leading provider of immigration services, has further expanded its direct to market global network by opening an office in Bangkok, Thailand, embedding the firm’s presence in Southeast Asia. As companies look for more effective and efficient manufacturing hubs in Asia, Thailand is becoming an increasingly attractive location with strong growth across a number of sectors, including the automotive and automotive parts industry, financial services and electric appliances. As a result, these companies are looking to internationally skilled and qualified individuals to help build out the local markets and with this latest office opening, Fragomen is well-positioned to support their client base directly.
“This new office allows Fragomen to better support our clients in the region,” said Co-Chair-Elect, Lance Kaplan. “Not only does Thailand boast the second largest economy in Southeast Asia, but also, it is a growing hotspot for foreign talent and global migration, attracting highly-skilled individuals in need of strategic immigration counsel. We look forward to providing our clients in Thailand with the exceptional service they have come to expect from our firm.”
The new office is the firm’s third in the region and will be overseen by Partner Kenneth Lau, based in the Singapore hub office, who will be working closely with the staff in Bangkok. The office will work with clients on a wide range of immigration support services, including inbound work permits and visas, outbound services, as well as advisory and value-added services.
“We are proud of our longstanding presence in Southeast Asia and opening a new office in Bangkok simply made good business sense given the country’s robust economy and our clients’ needs,” said Mark Buchanan, Regional Partner for Asia Pacific. “We look forward to working with existing and new clients on their Thailand-specific business growth strategies.”
“Thailand has always been an exciting market for us and our future growth, and I’m thrilled to help lead this new office with a dynamic group of leaders and talented staff, who are recognized industry leaders in the country,” said Lau. “Together with our global talent network and of course our expanding on-the-ground presence, we will be able to offer our extensive immigration and mobility insight and experience to regional and local companies of all sizes across a number of industries in this critical space.”
Thailand is Fragomen’s 60th office, ensuring a local presence in all major global talent markets. The firm plans additional expansions in line with its clients’ needs, continuing to provide the best advice and support for their global workforces.
